Ms. Guy is a native of Haywood County and a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Florida Coastal School of Law in Jacksonville, Florida. Her areas of practice include trusts and estates, Last Will and Testaments, civil litigation, real estate, business law, contracts and construction law. She has a special interest and focus in helping the elderly plan their estates, including tax consequences of their decisions.  She also represents several homeowner associations, particuarly in collection efforts of past due assessments.

She is a member of the Haywood County Home Builders Association, the American Bar Association, the North Carolina Bar Association and the North Carolina Academy of Trial Lawyers Young Lawyers Division.

Ms. Guy has also volunteered  her time and energy to AARP as a tax aide, and Real Sense Propserity Campaign of Northeast Florida.  She is the recipient of the Governor's Award for Volunteer Service, and the Pro Bono Award for Volunteer Service from teh Hubbard House Domestic Violence Shelter.
